Bristol-based national law firm Burges Salmon is celebrating success at the double at last night’s Bristol Law Society Awards 2014.

Tristan Williams was named as Chartered Legal Executive of the Year and Thomas Carpenter as Law Student of the Year.

Hosted by legal commentator and journalist Joshua Rozenberg, the awards showcase excellence within the local legal profession. They took place at The Marriott City Centre Hotel in Bristol.

Chartered Legal Executive of the Year is awarded to an exceptional legal executive or trainee legal executive who has made an outstanding contribution either to their firm and or client work and the legal sector.  Tristan Williams is a chartered legal executive in the real estate team at Burges Salmon.

Law Student of the Year is awarded to a law student who has shown exceptional endeavour and commitment to their studies of the law and has achieved outstanding results in academia and extracurricular activities. Tom Carpenter, who received this award for his studies at UWE, is a trainee solicitor at Burges Salmon, currently sitting in the firm’s banking team.

Burges Salmon managing partner Peter Morris said: “I am delighted for Tristan and Tom, on the very well deserved accolades that they received at last night's Bristol Law Society Awards.  We pride ourselves on the quality of our people at Burges Salmon and it is very pleasing indeed to see this recognised externally by the industry."
