Bristol’s city centre Hampton by Hilton hotel has appointed Nikola Garnev as deputy manager ahead of its opening this summer.

Nikola, pictured, joins general manager Imran Ali and sales manager Kate Hemmings as they work towards its July debut.

The 186-room mid-range hotel, which will be managed by Focus Hotels Management, is now under construction in the former 1960s York House office block on the corner of Bond Street and York Street, close to the existing Holiday Inn Bristol City Centre.

It is one of four new hotels due to open in and around the city centre within the next 18 months as demand from business visitors and tourists continues to increase.

Nikola joins from the 210-bedroom Hilton in Reading, where he was conference and events manager.

He said: “Bristol has a fast-growing reputation as a city that is not only a great place to visit but is becoming a serious business player.

“It’s great to be part of a project from the very beginning. It presents some exciting challenges but with Hilton being one of the most recognisable hotel brands in the world will help to attract customers.

“Its prominent position on one of the main roundabouts and arterial routes into the city will also help attract customers.

“We’ll now be working hard to make sure everything is ready for the opening.”

Hampton, one of the brands of the Hilton Worldwide group, operates more than 2,000 hotels around the world.
