Some of the biggest names in the UK creative industry will take part in Vision, Bristol Media’s two-day creative conference that returns to the city next month.

The two-day event, now in its fifth year, takes place on May 11 and 12 and has moved to the bigger venue of the University of Bristol’s newly refurbished Anson Rooms to meet demand for tickets.

The theme of the event, staged in association with the BBC Academy’s Digital Bristol Week, is ‘Connecting Creativity’, reflecting the region’s hugely collaborative approach and internationally acclaimed creative output.

Keynote speakers have been drawn from the cream of the creative industry from across a multitude of disciplines and include; Saatchi & Saatchi global chief creative officer Jason Romeyko, pictured, Google’s Stephen Murphy, Uber UK general manager Fred Jones, Channel4 technology news journalist Geoff White, and Julia Hobsbawm, founder & CEO of Editorial Intelligence and the world’s first professor of networking at Cass Business School.

The line-up also features industry greats from the region including respected celebrity & arts PR Mark Borkowski, pictured below, and Margaret Heffernan, writer, entrepreneur and TEDtalk regular.

Also speaking will be Tim Westwell, co-founder and managing director of Bristol ethical success story Pukka Herbs, and Tom Barker, head of digital at the National Trust in Swindon.

Bristol Media operations director and event producer Caroline Marshall said: “The reason that we are able to attract speakers of such high calibre to Vision is testament to the fact that Bristol is recognised more than ever as a hotbed of creative, technology and entrepreneurial talent, both across the UK and internationally.

“Vision is attended by those in the creative and digital industries but also people from a raft of other sectors who are interested in the latest thinking on leadership and management, entrepreneurship and the future of digital, as well as the opportunity to share ideas and network with people from outside their immediate circle.

“However, tickets are selling very quickly so I’d advise anyone interested in attending to book as soon as possible.”

Attendees will also have the chance to experience an interactive Virtual Reality exhibition from Opposable Games, Bristol-based VR experts and hosts of this week’s World VR congress in Bristol.

As well as 15 speakers each day and a choice of break-out sessions, delegates can also attend an evening networking on May 11 for a chance to socialise and share ideas with other delegates in a more informal atmosphere, with catering by Papadeli.

Vision is sponsored by The Agency Works, CityFibre and ADLIB.
