Anthony Fairweather, a partner in national law firm Clarke Willmott’s Bristol office, has been selected to  join a Government panel of lawyers who support vulnerable people on important legal and financial matters.

Anthony, pictured, is one of 68 solicitors from across the country who will sit on the Office of the Public Guardian’s national panel of professional deputies to work with people who lack the ability to make decisions about their finances.

Panel members act as a deputy when no one else is available to offer support to a person who lacks mental capability. Kelly Greig, a partner in Clarke Willmott’s Southampton office, has also been appointed to the panel.

Anthony Fairweather, head of the Court of Protection team in Clarke Willmott’s Bristol office, said: “Having two Clarke Willmott deputies on the panel is an amazing recognition of the work we do, supporting the most vulnerable in society.

“The Court of Protection team is one of the fastest-growing areas in the firm and our representation is testament to the work of our team in this area.”

Clarke Willmott also has offices in Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester, London and Taunton.
