Building services and facilities management company Inviron has opened an office in Bristol as part of a strategy to expand into the South West.

The office at Aztec West will be responsible for supporting existing clients in the region such as Land Securities, the UK’s largest commercial property company and co-owner of Bristol’s Cabot Circus retail centre, and aerospace giant Airbus, which has a major engineering plant at Filton.

Inviron also hopes to draw on its experience in the commercial, retail, business critical and industrial engineering industries to grow its portfolio with new contract wins in the South West and South Wales.

The office will be overseen by branch manager Andy Shepherd supported by contract manager Steve Nott and administrator Karen Wiltshire. Andy has relocated from London while Karen and Steve are local.

Andy said: “An important part of our overall strategy is to establish and expand upon the opportunities within the South West of England and South Wales. This will be the first time Inviron has had an office in the region and I’m confident that our existing clients will benefit from our presence.

“I believe we will also benefit the local economy and as we grow we will contribute more through investment and employment.

“Inviron’s vision is to become the most respected sustainable technical services business in the UK and Ireland. Expanding our operation into this region will certainly help us achieve this aim.”

The official opening of the office was attended by Inviron managing director Neil Johnson, and regional director Dave Webb.

The Birmingham-headquartered firm, part of Dutch technical services group Imtech, has an annual turnover of almost £150m and employs more than 1,200 people in eight offices across the UK.
