Architecture practice Spratley & Partners has opened its first regional office in Bristol, attracted by strong growth in the South West’s property and development markets.

The firm, which has its head office in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, is behind a number of high-profile projects across the UK including the eagerly awaited Heckfield Place luxury hotel in Hampshire and the highest yielding office spaces in Central London.

Spratley & Partners said its Bristol office – in a Grade II listed building on Orchard Street – would “provide an excellent base for pursuing new business opportunities in the area, where growth in professional services is outstripping that of other UK regions outside London”.

Associate director Chris Kelly, who will head the office, added: “We are so pleased to see our plans for expansion realised. The directors have been discussing a branch in Bristol for some time, and we have been closely monitoring the growth rate of the region and successes of our partners in other areas of the construction sector.

“We are looking forward to bringing our strong commercial knowledge and design capabilities to new projects across the South West.”

Spratley & Partners works with clients across the commercial, residential, education, hospitality and public sectors.

It describes its team as “youthful, dynamic and capable designers” who “give new life to renovations, make clever interventions to period properties and design new buildings with a tangible sense of identity”.
