Fast-growing Cornish digital agency Thought Quarter has expanded its operations by opening a base in Bristol.

Co-founded by people & culture director Allanah Armondi and managing director Samuele Armondi and now employing 14 people, the majority female-owned agency’s services range from e-commerce management to customer experience optimisation systems.

It works with ambitious organisations that are committed to bringing about positive change societally and environmentally from its head office in Redruth.

The Bristol office, its second, has been opened as Thought Quarter targets a 40% growth in turnover this year to £2m.

It aims to do this by helping private sector businesses and third sector organisations harness digitisation to resolve operational challenges and capitalise on new opportunities so they can maximise their positive impact on the world around them.

One of its customers is Cornish firm Woodshop Direct, which is on a mission to reduce wastage in the timber industry by providing customers with cut-to-size materials.

It also ensures it own waste is repurposed – with sawdust used to make pellets for biomass boilers and off-cuts sold as firewood to local residents.

Another client is CCleaner, one of the world’s top anti-virus software products. Produced by London-based software firm Piriform, it has safeguarded more than 2bn computer users from external cyber threats.

Allanah said: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to reach this significant milestone in our journey, and I’m really looking forward to seeing Thought Quarter grow in the Bristol area as we expand our presence here.

“We’re selective about the organisations we work with. Our goal is to fuel the missions of businesses, charities and not-for-profits organisations that do good in the world.

“This is how we contribute to true sustainability for organisations, communities, and the planet.

“We are able to achieve this through our consultancy-led approach to software development and the way we build partnerships with our clients. In the past two years, we have invested over £700,000 in our delivery processes to get to this point.”
