Bristol is one of the UK’s great music cities, boasting a vibrant and eclectic live music scene that spans jazz, hip-hop, classical and folk – and everything in between.

Its impact on the city is huge – live music venues support nearly 1,000 full-time jobs and contribute many millions of pounds to the local economy. They bring in hundreds of thousands of visitors, add to the city’s rich cultural offering and are a key ingredient of the independent spirit that makes Bristol such an exciting and innovative business location.

Bristol Business News has teamed up with St George’s Bristol and Heat Recruitment to stage a unique business event next Wednesday to put the city’s live music scene in the spotlight.

Invited business guests will not only get the chance to hear more about the sector – including how St George’s Building a Sound Future Appeal is helping create a truly global live music venue for the city – but will also get the opportunity to watch celebrated Bristol singer-songwriter Phil King, pictured, live in concert as he launches his new album.

This event is by invitation only. It will launch of a series of business events staged by Bristol Business News to highlight Bristol’s innovation across a range of key sectors.

A full report and photos from the event will be published on Bristol Business News next week.
