National property consultancy Carter Jonas has promoted Georgia Georgieva to the role of senior surveyor in its Bristol-based commercial valuations team.

Georgia, pictured, gained a degree in Real Estate from the University of Reading before joining Carter Jonas’ Bath office in 2016 as a graduate surveyor, taking part in the firm’s rotational training programme.

She became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a RICS-registered valuer in 2018.

During her time at Carter Jonas, Georgia has gained varied experience in a number of disciplines including retail and office agency, lease consultancy and valuations for a range of public sector clients, including Bath & North East Somerset Council, as well as high street and specialist lenders, pension funds and private individuals.

She now concentrates on valuing commercial and residential property, including high-value dwellings and commercial investments, in Bath, Bristol and the wider South West.

Carter Jonas relocated its Bath commercial staff to a new Bristol office last October as part of a long-term strategy to grow it’s offering in the South West across the commercial, rural, planning, development and residential sectors.

The move to St Catherine’s Court, Berkeley Place, Clifton, followed its acquisition earlier in the year of Bristol-based Williams Gunter Hardwick – giving it a base in Bristol for the first time.

Georgia said: “I developed a strong interest in the built environment throughout my early education in my home country of Bulgaria. The built environment is about much more than bricks and mortar, it’s about places and people and how we use the space.

“I grabbed the opportunity to start my career in the UK, where industry trends tend to be shaped. I got to know Carter Jonas through my work as a Pathways to Property ambassador for the Reading Real Estate Foundation and, having been supported by the firm, I was delighted to become a member of its growing national commercial team.”

Carter Jonas Bristol partner Andrew Hardwick added: “Georgia is an integral member of the team, and this is an extremely well-deserved promotion.

“Acting across a number of portfolios she is a fast learner and has become a knowledgeable and trusted consultant and key point of contact. As we continue to focus on providing our clients with valuable insights and effective results, Georgia will be integral to the growth of our valuations and wider commercial business in the South West.”

Carter Jonas employs around 700 people across its network of 33 UK offices.
