Bristol multi-award winning tech firm YellowDog has taken another step on its global roll-out with a deal that puts its multi-cloud platform for visual effects and animation studios on sale across North America.

The firm, which has gone from a standing start in 2015 to operating in 45 countries and having some of the world’s leading companies as customers, has partnered with Canadian software firm Quadbridge in the deal.

The two said the combination of YellowDog’s cloud render solution for visual effects, animation, and visualisation studios coupled with Quadbridge’s expertise in IT management, meant that studios could now benefit from direct consultation as well as unrivalled multi-cloud scale for their production speed.

With global demand for computer generated content continuing to soar, the companies said the partnership cames at a good time for them.

YellowDog already works with more than 2,000 studios in media and entertainment while Montreal-based Quadbridge has been on the Growth500 list for three years running.

Through its unique technology, YellowDog securely harnesses underutilised computer power, enabling organisations to deliver incredibly quickly and cost effectively, through leveraging this unlimited power on demand.

Founder Gareth Williams, pictured, says he wants to create a world where people do more, create more, discover more – unleashed from limited computing power.

“YellowDog’s success lies with the strength of its partnerships. Quadbridge is in the midst of a very exciting period of growth – as are we,” he said.

“They are a perfect partner for us as we make a big impact in key media and entertainment communities in Canada and the US. Quadbridge take pride in the development of truly strategic partnerships with their customers.

“That’s exactly why customers love YellowDog too – we’re passionate about working together with studios to define a secure, fixed price, multi-cloud solution that is suited to their needs.”

Quadbridge chief business development officer Nelson Pacheco added: “YellowDog is exactly the kind of company that we take pride in partnering with – and their expertise in facilitating rendering will be of great use to our clients who are always looking to optimize the use of their infrastructure and streamline their rendering processes.”
