Alderley Group, the Wickwar-based designer and manufacturer of liquid and gas metering and produced water treatment packages, racked up orders worth more than £20m in the first seven weeks of 2012 for projects in the North Sea, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. The group, which has more than 300 employees, will manufacture the kit at its facilities in the UK, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and UAE.

CEO Chris McGeehan, pictured, said: “This is an excellent start to 2012 and falls in line with Alderley’s overall growth and development plans across all regions. We expect 2012 to continue to be a busy and successful year."

Meanwhile the group has negotiated £24m worth of funding comprising trade finance, asset-based lending and the provision of working capital. Financial director John Medcraft said it would provide a platform from which to take on large-scale contracts.

Jason Evans, South Wales and Severnside area director for Lloyds Bank Wholesale Banking and Markets, added: "We’re very proud to be supporting Alderley Group in its aim to grow the business and further consolidate its standing as a leading player in the market."
