Regional property consultancy Alder King has made a new senior appointment in its Bristol building consultancy team to drive its continued growth.

Chartered building surveyor Phil Hall, pictured, has joined the practice as a partner after two years with real estate consultancy Hollis’s Bristol office.

Phil brings with him more than 10 years’ experience in the property and construction sectors.

He said Alder King’s building consultancy team had “an enviable reputation”, overseeing multiple high-profile projects across the UK, and was much in demand.

“I’m therefore delighted to join this well-established and successful team and look forward to delivering on our clients’ property and construction objectives,” he added.

Phil’s appointment follows the recent promotion of partner James Jacobs to head of the building consultancy team.

James said: “Phil is a great addition to our team, with excellent technical construction knowledge and experience.  We have a pipeline of work that will benefit from his expertise.”

The seven-strong team, which is also based in Alder King’s Exeter office, offers a range of building services for every stage of the property lifecycle, from building refurbishment and construction, project management and party wall disputes to dilapidations, investigations and surveys.

It is currently working on projects for, among others, the University of Bristol, Fusion Students and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.

Alder King employs around 100 people in its seven offices, which include Cardiff, Gloucester, Swindon, Taunton and Truro as well as Bristol and Exeter.
