Bristol-headquartered regional property consultancy Alder King has made a series of senior appointments in its planning team as part of a programme of targeted investment.

Sarah Hawkins, Gary Morris and Tristan Hutton have all joined the practice as partners, with Sarah assuming the role of head of planning.

The trio, who previously worked together at Tetra Tech Planning in Bristol, have arrived at Alder King six months after planning partner Gareth Jackson joined from Dominvs Group.

Sarah, pictured, has more than 25 years’ experience in town planning, providing advice on sites throughout the UK and across a range of sectors including retail, residential and commercial.

She has been involved in the delivery of large mixed use regeneration schemes and is also an external examiner for the University of the West of England.

Gary has specialist knowledge in the retail, commercial and advertising sectors. He has acted for a number of well-known food and non-food retailers, growing their estate and maximising operational efficiency of existing sites.

He also advises a range of restaurant operators, industrial developers (B2/B8) and private sector clients.

Tristan advises private and public sector clients on various projects, ranging from urban regeneration, residential, commercial, healthcare, retail and leisure schemes.

He is also a High Street Task Force expert, reflecting his particular expertise in this field.

Alder King partner Simon Smith said: “These appointments, bringing over 80 years of town planning experience, significantly enhance our offer to clients and underline our commitment to strengthening our planning consultancy.

“Sarah, Gary, Tristan and Gareth have a real breadth and depth of expertise in a number of different sectors, opening up a range of new opportunities for us UK wide, as well as complementing the skillset of our existing planning team.”

Alder King employs around 130 people across its offices in Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Gloucester, Swindon, Taunton and Truro.

It has won the Estates Gazette South West Most Active Agent award for 20 consecutive years.
