Food travel experts SSP are investing more than £150,000 in upgrading bars and restaurants at Bristol Airport to improve ambience, accessibility and comfort for passengers. The terminal’s table service restaurant Dexters will be first to undergo a makeover, with new furniture and lighting.

Among the improvements will be a 10-minute service guarantee on selected items for those in a hurry.

Bar Zero9, the airport’s largest bar, and the popular Burger King in departures will also have facelifts while the The Seafood Bar will be rebranded as a Wine & Deli Bar, widening the menu to include regionally-sourced food such as Wiltshire ham, Somerset cheeses and locally-caught fish, and introducing a new concept in ‘wine flights’ – small samplers of three different wines.

Airport retail manager Tom Hack said: “Business travellers will benefit from a more comfortable environment in which to work and relax.”
