Property insurance group ACE has appointed Ian McFadyean as business development manager for the South West and Wales as it continues to invest in its UK regional offices.

In the newly-created role, Ian, pictured, will be responsible for developing new and existing business across the region as well as managing broker relationships.

Ian, who has 16 years’ experience, joins from NIG where he spent the past four years in a business development role developing broker accounts across the South West and Wales. Prior to that, he held a number of senior sales positions in insurers NFU Mutual and AXA.

Ian will work closely with the regional team of underwriters based in Birmingham.

Paul Jennings, regional manager, Midlands and South West at ACE, one of the world’s largest multiline property and casualty insurers, said: “Ian’s appointment further demonstrates ACE’s commitment to continue to expand its regional presence.

“While the Birmingham branch has been operating for a number of years, Ian’s appointment will give us the opportunity to better service our network of brokers and clients based in the insurance heartland of Bristol, as well as in South Wales, Devon and Cornwall.”
