Staff at accountants Grant Thornton’s Bristol office have raised more than £13,000 for Children’s Hospice South West since making it the office’s chosen charity in January last year.

Dress down days, cake sales, raffles and 5-a-side football tournaments have been held, and staff have taken part in the charity’s corporate challenge and midnight memory walk, as well as individual fund-raising activities such as sponsored marathon walks and cycling trips.

They have also donated around 75 bags of clothing and bric-a-brac which has been sold in local hospice charity shops.

Office managing partner John Golding said: “It has been a privilege for us to have supported such a fantastic organisation over the past 18 months.

“The office has chosen to support Young Carers Bristol and South Gloucestershire for the next 18 months, and we look forward to building an equally successful relationship with that organisation.”
