Accountancy and business advisory firm Grant Thornton is joining forces with the South West CBI this month to host an event in Bristol aimed at helping businesses raise finance.

The Access To Growth Capital breakfast workshop takes place on February 26 and is part of the CBI’s M Club initiative, which aims to help medium-sized businesses unlock their potential for growth.

Attendees will be able to share their experiences of raising finance, gain advice on developing a successful finance strategy, and explore alternative sources of finance.

Mark Naughton, head of corporate finance at Grant Thornton in the South West, will chair the event, introducing guests including Tom Thackray, senior policy adviser and author of the CBI report Future Champions.

“Raising finance can be a real barrier to growth,” said Mark.

“This workshop will run as a round table breakfast, designed to offer leaders of medium sized businesses, with current or future financing requirements, the chance to come together and discuss practical ways to boost access to capital. Experts will also be on hand to share knowledge and expertise on the current finance market.”

The event, at Grant Thornton’s offices at Hartwell House, 55-61 Victoria Street, Bristol, starts at 8am. For further details contact Laura Ketland on 0117 305 7604 or laura.ketland@uk.gt.com
