Bristol-based Fosters Event Catering has teamed up with two local drinks suppliers to help support communities in developing countries.
The catering company has set up supplier contracts with Montpelier-based FRANK Water and Clifton Coffee Company in Avonmouth which both donate funds from sales to support charitable projects worldwide.
FRANK Water is now the sole supplier of water for Fosters, which gets through 11,880 litres of their Devon Spring water a year, enough to fund a water well in India or Africa.
Clifton Coffee Company is now supplying all Fosters coffee and will be donating a percentage of its sales to Coffee Kids – a charity helping improve the lives of families in coffee-growing communities. Fosters is expected to get through about 50,000 cups of coffee every year.
Fosters Chief Executive Neil Lodge said: “Sourcing local produce and suppliers is a long-standing tradition at Fosters and working with these two companies gives us a great opportunity to support our local economy while benefitting international projects that need our support.
“Ensuring high quality products for our clients is an absolute priority but these new partnerships mean that with every sip of water or coffee, our customers are also helping support communities in developing countries.”
