Bristol ‘strong contender’ for Green Bank

Bristol councillors have welcomed the possibility of the city being home to the Government’s Green Investment Bank after Energy and Climate Change Secretary Chris Huhne declared Bristol was a “strong contender”. City council assistant executive member for sustainability Neil Harrison said: “It is natural that it should come to the UK’s Green Capital, home to the most vibrant green business sector in the country and a unique selection of environmental organisations.”
